Game Rules

With such little grip, driving success depends on a finely tuned equilibrium of relative traction at each of the car's four wheels. So, the use of the accelerator and brake is more crucial than the steering. Although there are numerous differences between rally racing and track racing, rally methods have remained mostly unchanged throughout the years.

Of course, there are some fantastic rally drivers who aren't concerned about sliding and static friction, much alone weight transfer, surface cleaning, or any of the other factors I've mentioned. Obviously, that doesn't make them any slower.
